(TOWARDS MY FATHER’S DREAM: SERVICE TO HUMANITY)

During my stay at Pune for 37 days in last October and November for my fistula treatment and Yoga training, I met several retired high officials who had visited Bhutan. They expressed very high opinion about the kingdom and her people. One of them was Mr. Anil Kumar Banerjee, a very senior renowned IPS officer of Maharashtra state. I was marvelled by Mr. Banerjee’s rating of the tiny Himalayan highland. He said: “Privileged as an IPS officer I visited most of the countries of the world including the U.S.A., but I found Bhutan the finest of all countries and the Bhutanese the finest people on the earth.” I carry the same picture in my heart about the tiny kingdom, which is now known to the world as the happiest nation. This inspires me to share the following truth as my services to the lovely people with a grateful heart.

Truth that benefits the sea of humanity must be revealed. In tune with Doctor B. M. Hegde’s book WHAT DOCTORS DON’T GET TO STUDY IN MEDICAL SCHOOL and Yoga legend, Dr B.K.S. Iyengar, the Michelangelo of Yoga, and based on my own experiences I must say every disease has a cure, even AIDS, as B.K.S. Iyengar asserts, so has fistula, when we practice integrative medicine system as recommended by Dr. B. M. Hegde. We can enjoy the best health and best life even at the old age. Health is undisputedly the greatest wealth and it is the birth right of every human being.  Life might unfold its greatest glory even at the old age when one attains the true health, the divine health by virtue of wisdom and art of living! Robert Browning brilliantly wrote:

“Grow old along with me

The best is yet to be.”

There are ailments which can be cured by a few drops of Homeopathy at mere Rs. 20 -30, which in Allopathy might cost a heavy amount for its technology, investigations and expensive medicines. For my knee injury I was advised by all the orthopaedic surgeons I consulted to undergo surgery which was going to cost me a huge amount. But as God was on my side, I escaped from the blow. My knee has become perfectly all right by simple Yoga practice and Amway All Plant Protein Powder. When we strive to live a righteous life God helps us and heals us through his chosen wonderful path.

There are cases for which Allopathy has no guaranteed cure, but Ayurveda has wonderful remedy. Fistula is one of such maladies. A Canadian fistula afflicted lady after fourteen times of unsuccessful Allopathy surgery in twenty years had come to Dr. Prasad Bapat, Ayurved Acharya, Pune, and went back healed just in a month. What an incredible power Indian Ayurveda possesses! I suffered from fistula and underwent Allopathy treatments and surgeries for eight years with zero result. But by Dr. Prasad Bapat’s Ayuevedic Kshar Sutra (medicated thread) treatment I have been healed and healthy just in three weeks without any medicine or pain. I learned that fistula was not a big problem at all, but the wrong treatments of the orthodox system had caused me pain and suffering for eight years.

During the course of the historic three - week treatment I walked more than 10 km a day in Pune, a wonderful Indian city, attended Yoga classes daily at Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute, even practiced Gym in Chittaranjan Park on the inspiration of the doctor. Incredible energy with volcanic spirit! Fully a new man I became! This is what a true doctor can do. Medicine does very little. As per reports Adverse Drug Reactions resulted in alarming death rate in the U.S. It is the mind that needs to be treated, reoriented and nurtured more. Hippocrates, the Father of Modern Medicine, wrote: “It is more important to know the person who has the disease than the disease the person has.” Allopathy is wonderful in case of emergency, but not in all cases.

Caution regarding Kshar Sutra (medicated thread)! The market is flooded with spurious goods, unethical practices and false promises and advertisements. All Kshar sutras available in the market are not the same. Before using Dr. Bapat’s Kshar Sutras, I had used six pieces of kshar sutra purchased from the market with disappointing result. Dr. B.M. Hegde in his celebrated book “What Doctors Don’t Get To Study in Medical School” wrote: “The present era could be best described in the paraphrased words of Charles Dickens: The twenty first century is the best of times if one considers the so called scientific developments; and the worst times, when one critically looks at human development......!”

Dr. Bapat’s Kshar Sutras are unique and different from the sutras available in the market because he manufactures the sutras of his own with the sole aim to heal his patients, and not to sell the thread pieces merely for money. Of course, he takes good amount of money for his treatment and healing of the patients, but it is worth paying because the cure is quick and guaranteed. The best part of the doctor is: he is a fine human being. To me, it is more important how good a person is than his works, skills and expertise. Hippocrates wrote: “It is more important to know the author than the book that she/he has written.” This wisdom applies to all fields of life.

I must thank the Hon’ble PM for providing me wise guidance as my doctor when I was in Bhutan that led me to victory. Anything that is benefitting and sublimating for mankind is God’s wealth, and God wants us to share  the wealth among His children. So I have shared my rich experiences with a hope that this might serve at least someone.
